Aleph Ripple Project

  • Support the Aleph Foundation Ripple Project

    When you drop a pebble into a pond, it creates a series of ripples that spread out from the center, affecting the surface of the water in increasingly wider circles.

    Similarly, tzedakah (the Hebrew word for charity) creates a ripple effect that extends beyond the immediate parties involved in the lives of thousands of others, which is exactly what needs to happen if we are to heal the world.

    Remember, once you donate your second step is to form your own team or create an individual campaign where you set your own personal fundraising goal that will be cast into the ripple. This project will only succeed if you also share it with others. Giving is wonderfully but when we share a common goal we will achieve incredible results!

    Our initial goal is to raise $500,000 during the month of November. This money will be used to fund the following:

    1.) Complete a community garden for children with special needs and disabilities in Houston, Texas;

    2.) Purchase siddurs (prayer books) for Jewish prisoners incarcerated within the Texas and United States federal prison system;

    3.) Towards a down payment and renovation on two properties that will be opened as transitional housing for Jewish woman and men in need of counseling, temporary housing, drug or alcohol treatment, mental health services, etc.;

    4.) And establish a temporary "safe house" shelter for Jewish women and children who are in abusive relationships and in need of assistance. (Food, Housing, Legal Aid, Medical Treatment, Counseling, etc.)
