MEET RABBI DOVID GOLDSTEIN
A native of McAllen, Texas, Rabbi Dovid Goldstein studied at the Lubavitcher Yeshivah in Los Angeles, Montreal, Central Yeshiva in Brooklyn, NY, Caracas Venezuela, and in Central Lubavitch Yeshiva in Kfar Chabad, Israel, where he received his rabbinical ordination.
He is Associate Director of Chabad Outreach of Houston, Inc., Director of Friendship Circle of Houston, Inc., and Executive Director of Chabad of West Houston, Inc. Rabbi Goldstein is extremely active in the Houston community having founded numerous charitable organizations. He founded Living Legacy Hands and the Friendship Circle for Jewish Children and Adults with Special needs. Rabbi Goldstein has also served as Director of Camp Gan Israel and the adult education instructor for the Jewish Learning Institute in West Houston for the last ten years.
Rabbi Goldstein has hosted weekly "Lunch and Learn" groups for professionals since 1998. And he is the head rabbi for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, chaplain at Richmond State School, the Menninger Clinic, Harris County Jail, and Federal Correctional Complex in Beaumont.
Rabbi Goldstein is fluent in English, Spanish, and Hebrew and directs the Chabad Outreach Jevra Latina programs for the Latin American Jewish community in Houston.
In 2006, Rabbi Goldstein received the Harold Reingold Yavneh award from the Bureau of Jewish Education, for his "outstanding educational contributions to the Greater Houston Jewish community."
Rabbi Goldstein is married to Mrs. Elisa Goldstein. They have five children together: Sima, Avrami, Chaya, Zalman, and Rozie.
