Sukkot and Simchat Torah

Sukkot and Simchat Torah

This coming Wednesday evening (October 4th), Jews throughout the world will begin the nine-day long “time of our joy,” encompassing the festivals of Sukkot and Simchat Torah. We sit in the sukkah to celebrate the warm embrace of G‑d’s love and care for us, takethe four kinds to celebrate our unity as a people, and participate in the nightly beit hashoeva festivities celebrating the power of song and dance – to transform ourselves and our world for the better.
